The Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Project Buyer reporting to the Manager, Project Procurement.

This position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

This position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

This position is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, and ultimately contracting goods and/or services. It is essential to the completion of assigned projects, managing supplier relationships to ensure alignment with project strategies and goals. The role works within the Newbuild Procurement team on outfitting and special features sourcing and contracting, challenging specifications, commercial practices, operating practices, and business processes with a focus on driving cost-effective solutions.

The position will be responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time and on budget in alignment with internal customer needs and procurement guidelines and strategies. Scope is strictly tied to a specific project. The qualified candidate will have strong planning, project management, cost control, sourcing, communication, and negotiating skills.

• Procure goods and services for assigned projects such as newbuilds, dry docks, in‑service projects, or operational maintenance.
• Implement a procurement and negotiation strategy based on variables such as price, quality, availability, warranty, project terms and conditions.
• Perform moderate to complex price analysis while considering total project cost, timing, and customer needs.
• Prepare, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements that meet business requirements.
• Act as the single point of contact for internal customers, ensuring that products or services are delivered as needed to achieve successful project completion.
• Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues.
• Maintain commercial interface with suppliers.
• Provide guidance to internal customers during budget preparation such as product and service pricing.
• Be aware of compliance requirements of regulatory agencies (DNV, IMO, SOLAS, USPH, US Coast Guard, etc.).
• Work independently and prioritize tasks based on project schedules.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent job experience.
• Emphasis in project management preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project Environment.
• Accreditation from a Supply Chain Industry organization (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
• Experience working with multiple systems/tools such as JDE, databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities and multiple internal customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes and solutions.
• Sense of ownership and urgency.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
