Job SummaryYour main accountability in the regional Lat Am & Caribbean Business Unit is the contractual integrity of any agreement entered between Airbus and customers handled by the unit. This involves drafting, negotiating, amending contractual documentation and making contractual and commercial decisions in line with Airbus's commercial objectives and approval processes.
Primary Responsibilities- Participating in the definition of commercial strategy, sales objectives and business rationales.
- Drafting, negotiating with customers and amending individual sales contract documents to reflect obligations, ensuring internal approvals are clearly represented.
- Ensuring contracted obligations and returns are consistent with Airbus's constraints and business unit objectives, focusing on deal profitability and risks.
- Monitoring fulfillment of customer obligations and renegotiating contracts to address changing requirements, defaults or disputes.
- Providing information on negotiated commitments to relevant Airbus entities and advising as necessary.
- Validating business control sheets or other tools to verify contractual integrity.
- Ensuring negotiated contracts are acceptable to Airbus and approved.
- Providing timely and succinct briefing to line management on negotiation status.
- 12+ years of experience working with international commercial teams, either in a support function or directly in customer‑facing roles.
- 5+ years of experience in international negotiation, ideally in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of contract law in an international context.
- Master’s degree in business or international contracts law (preferred).
- Up to 50% international travel.
- Frequent business travel in the region and worldwide.

Negotiations occur in high‑pressure environments with a wide range of customers and cultures. The successful candidate will negotiate with multiple levels of customer management and adaptively manage people’s emotions.
Level of Decision Making- Participate in elaborating commercial strategy for accounts.
- Make tactical decisions during commercial campaigns and negotiations.
- Decisions impact campaign outcomes and commit Airbus to deliveries as documented.
Coordinating across commercial, engineering, customer services, programs, and finance departments. The role is a non‑managerial position.
Job DimensionsTransactions handled range from hundreds of millions to tens of billions of dollars, requiring oversight of risks and alignment with internal approvals.
Nature of Contacts- Internally: interaction with Airbus Commercial CEO, specialists, SVP, VP, and Band IV management levels.
- With customers: from CEO, CFO, VP flight operations, VP engineering, VP fleet planning to general manager and VP level.
- 80% onsite, 20% remote.
- Vision, hearing, speaking – to read and discuss documents and participate in meetings.
- Operate office equipment and computer, carry documents and personal items.
- Lift documents, computers, and luggage when traveling.
- Sitting, standing, walking as required for work and travel.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, independently and on short notice.
