Job Summary:
This role is responsible for owning and maintaining the integrity of purchasing and inventory data from beginning to end. The position partners closely with Demand Planning and Production Planning to ensure alignment between forecasts, actuals, and purchasing needs. This individual serves as the gatekeeper of data accuracy, inventory visibility, and product availability while driving accountability across teams through reporting, analysis, and structured communication.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Partner with Demand Planning and Production Planning teams to review forecasts versus actuals and ensure accurate product ordering and alignment with business needs
• Monitor and maintain daily data accuracy related to availability, inventory, and production plans, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Own and manage inventory data as the primary gatekeeper, ensuring accuracy from initial planning through final execution
• Perform ongoing master data maintenance, including data cleanup, validation, and system integrity checks
• Analyze variances and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks within purchasing, inventory, and forecast data
• Review forecast data to identify incorrect or incomplete product codes, including newly added items or items flagged as N/A, and take corrective action
• Confirm and update assignment changes related to product allocation, forecasting, and planning
• Maintain and manage key reporting for offshore orders, ensuring visibility and tracking from order placement through delivery
• Develop, implement, and maintain a structured calendar to track deadlines, product timelines, forecast updates, and team accountability
• Conduct and document recurring monthly meetings with cross-functional teams (Demand Planning, Production, Purchasing) to review performance, address issues, and ensure alignment
• Support production plan validation through regular check-ins and data verification
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Data Analytics, or related discipline) preferred
• Experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or data-focused roles
• Strong experience with data maintenance, data integrity, and system accuracy
• Proficiency in Power BI and data analysis tools
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and gaps
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and hold teams accountable through structured communication
