Payroll Business Partner I
ADP is hiring a Payroll Business Partner I. As a Payroll Business Partner I servicing ADP’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solution, you will provide specialized support and guidance to clients, acting as the primary client liaison for all employer‑level concerns and delivering first‑level telephone support across several complex functional areas. You will help ensure that PEO clients remain compliant with all federal, state, and local employment and tax laws by monitoring, evaluating, and directing client actions.
This role requires you to act as a trusted payroll advisor, providing timely and accurate advice around payroll compliance and delivering payroll solutions that positively impact the client’s business, foster retention and growth, troubleshoot challenges, educate clients, develop partnerships, and demonstrate deep value in the ADP client relationship.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you can expect on a typical day:
- Be a trusted advisor and problem solver – use breadth of expertise to resolve time‑sensitive client issues and identify solutions.
- Build relationships – connect with clients via phone, email, or chat, exceeding expectations and upholding ADP’s core value of “Integrity is Everything.” Offer assistance to other associates and maintain open communication with peers and internal partners.
- Educate and provide recommendations – leverage ADP product and services knowledge to help clients understand product value and translate input into recommendations for leadership on best practices and training.
- Organize – adhere to a daily schedule to manage high volume inbound calls; phone time may increase during peak seasons.
- 0–1 year of client and/or service experience.
- Ability to work overtime hours during peak seasons.
A college degree is great but not required; what matters is the ability to perform the job. Acceptable additional experience includes prior service experience or military experience, which is valued for its discipline, commitment, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
