Job Summary
Responsible for supporting leadership with end-to-end business analysis for all areas under Commercial Operations including Onboard Revenue, Air Operations, Casino Operations, Gift Shop, Port Operations, Shore Excursions, Spa, etc. Identify business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes.
Position Responsibilities- Partner with internal stakeholders across business units to develop a solid understanding of their teams and day-to-day operations in order to identify and lead process improvement/incremental revenue initiatives.
- Develop analyses and documentation in a way that can be easily consumed by all stakeholders.
- Develop a set of reports and KPIs that provide insight into future booked positions and use this data to take proactive steps to maximize net revenue.
- Develop accurate data models with historical information for each business unit with metrics including guest participation, gross revenue, cost of sale, net revenue.
- Assist with creating a standardized proforma financial template that can be used by Commercial Operations stakeholders to present cost saving/revenue incremental initiatives.
- Partner with operating teams and Enterprise Analytics to enhance existing KPIs, operating and financial metrics.
- Assess existing pricing strategies across the teams to develop comprehensive pricing matrices.
- Enhance reporting to track the impact of price adjustments.
- Develop meaningful relationships with partners for optimized collaboration and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline and/or a combination of relevant experience and education.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a business analytics role for a large organization. Experience interacting with senior leadership in various departments across the organization. Experience building financial models, creating visualizations, handling large datasets.
Knowledge &
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with data querying skills. Strong proficiency with Power Point, Hyperion Essbase and Oracle financial systems are also preferred. Self-starter, highly analytical and detail oriented without losing sight of the big picture. Strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as with different team members across the entire organization. Organized, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Results oriented. Able to effectively multitask and work under pressure. Proven ability to manage projects and user testing. Proficient with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. Database management software such as Oracle and SQL server is preferred. Well versed with Microsoft Visio or similar graphic application to develop simplified process flows and present process changes.
