General Manager’s Assistant (Operations-Focused)Full-Time | Automotive Services | Fast-Paced Operations
About the RoleWe’re hiring a General Manager’s Assistant to help drive day-to-day operations in a busy wheel repair business. This is not a traditional admin role—you’ll be directly involved in coordinating technicians, managing workflow, and keeping the operation on track.
You’ll work side‑by‑side with the General Manager and play a key role in execution, communication, and accountability across the team.
What You’ll Be Responsible For Operations & Workflow- Support daily operations including work orders, scheduling, and job flow
- Coordinate between shop technicians, route drivers, vendors, and leadership
- Track priorities, follow up on open items, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Assist with inventory tracking, repair documentation, and vendor coordination
- Manage calendars, meetings, and internal communication for leadership
- Prepare reports, summaries, and operational updates
- Maintain organized systems and handle sensitive information professionally
- Act as a central point of contact between management, staff, and customers
- Respond to calls, emails, and internal requests quickly and professionally
- Help resolve customer issues by coordinating with the appropriate teams
- Track KPIs (job completion time, quality, rework, etc.)
- Support data entry accuracy across systems
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and timekeeping
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, professional communicator (written and verbal)
- Strong sense of ownership—follows through without being chased
- Experience in automotive, wheel repair, collision, or service operations
- Background supporting operations, leadership, or field teams
- Familiarity with scheduling, inventory, or work order systems
- Ability to move between office and shop environments
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments
- Someone who takes initiative instead of waiting for direction
- Someone who can keep people, tasks, and priorities aligned
