About the RoleWe're looking for a Trade Execution Specialist to manage the end-to-end execution of international agricultural commodity transactions — from contract validation through logistics, documentation, compliance, and customer invoicing, all the way to final delivery and payment collection. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives on detail, juggling multiple shipments, and coordinating across a global network of suppliers, buyers, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management & Trade Execution
- Review and validate purchase and sales contracts against negotiated terms
- Verify product specs, quality parameters, quantity, pricing, shipment periods, Incoterms, packaging, and payment terms.
- Coordinate contract execution from origin to destination in line with customer and supplier requirements
- Manage transactions across a diverse commodity book: grains, pulses, animal feed and nutrition, dairy, sugar, and nuts
- Monitor quality specs, commercial tolerances, and performance to ensure accurate settlements
- Coordinate international ocean and inland transportation
- Manage bookings and monitor ERD, cut-offs, ETD/ETA, vessel schedules, and cargo movements
- Act as the primary contact among suppliers, buyers, processors, freight forwarders, shipping lines, inspection companies, customs agents, transloaders, warehouses, and truckers
- Prepare and manage trade documentation: scale tickets, stuffing reports, commercial invoices, packing lists, weight certificates, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates, and quality/inspection certificates
- Generate and issue customer invoices; verify pricing and contractual accuracy in coordination with finance
- Ensure compliance with destination-country regulations, import permits, and origin regulatory bodies (e.g., USDA, CFIA)
- Manage payments across multiple trade structures: wire transfers, advance payments, open account, documentary collections, and letters of credit
- Process supplier/service-provider payments and monitor customer receivables
- Coordinate document presentation and payment-term compliance
- Verify payment status and documentation before cargo release and order closure
- 4+ years of experience in commodity trading operations, logistics, or trade finance
- Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills across suppliers, buyers, and service providers
- Familiarity with international trade documentation and Incoterms
- English and Spanish fluency preferred
