If you have extensive experience navigating Miami-Dade's land development process and thrive at the intersection of government relations, zoning, planning, and real estate development, we'd love to speak with you.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, file, and monitor rezonings, variances, special exceptions, site plan approvals, and other entitlement applications.
  • Coordinate submissions with municipal and Miami-Dade County agencies.
  • Research zoning ordinances, comprehensive plans, land development regulations, and related governmental requirements.
  • Support attorneys with due diligence, regulatory analysis, strategic planning, and client communications.
  • Assist with development feasibility analyses and entitlement strategies.
  • Track project schedules, public hearing calendars, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Collaborate with developers, consultants, architects, engineers, government officials, and legal teams to move projects forward.
  • Help develop and execute community engagement strategies for high-profile public hearing matters.
  • Independently manage multiple active development projects while maintaining exceptional client service.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience in land use, zoning, urban planning, or development within South Florida.
  • Strong understanding of Miami-Dade County land development and entitlement processes.
  • Established relationships with municipal, county, and state governmental agencies throughout Florida.
  • Experience managing complex projects and working directly with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry platforms including GIS applications, Municode, Code Hub, Project Dox, and comparable permitting systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • AICP certification or comparable professional accreditation.
Why This Opportunity?
  • Join a nationally recognized law firm with a premier Real Estate and Land Use practice.
  • Work on some of South Florida's most significant commercial and mixed-use development projects.
  • Partner directly with respected attorneys and industry leaders.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
