Job Description & How to Apply Below

Macdonald & Company has been exclusively retained by a private equity real estate investment firm to appoint a Director of Investor Relations based in Miami, Florida. The position will support the firm’s continued growth across its multifamily and private credit platforms, reporting directly to the C-Suite.

Our client is a private real estate investment and management firm with a successful track record acquiring, renovating, and operating institutional-quality multifamily properties across the Southeastern United States. The platform partners with a sophisticated investor base that includes family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and select institutional investors.

The firm has established a strong pipeline of off-market value-add multifamily opportunities and manages a growing portfolio of stabilized assets. In addition to its core multifamily strategy, the company also operates a private credit platform providing short-term, asset-backed loans to real estate investors and developers - offering diversified, fixed-income exposure to its investor network.

Position Summary

The Director of Investor Relations will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s investor engagement, capital formation infrastructure, and go-to-market strategy across both its equity and credit investment platforms.

This individual will be responsible for managing investor communications, improving internal processes, overseeing CRM and reporting systems, and helping build scalable outbound business development and marketing initiatives. The role will partner closely with firm leadership to elevate the investor experience, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in investor relations, capital markets support, or private investment marketing within real estate private equity, private credit, or alternative investments. Rather than an established Rolodex of investor relationships, the client seeks an individual who is highly organized, process-oriented, commercially minded, and capable of building best-in-class investor infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for existing investors, ensuring a high-quality investor experience through proactive communication and relationship management.
  • Coordinate investor reporting, updates, capital call communications, quarterly materials, and performance summaries across the firm’s multifamily and credit strategies.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement and management of the firm’s CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking of investor interactions, pipeline activity, reporting schedules, and prospective relationships.
  • Develop and implement scalable investor relations processes and operational best practices to improve efficiency and consistency across the platform.
  • Partner with senior leadership to create and refine investor presentations, pitch materials, marketing collateral, case studies, and digital communications.
  • Assist in building outbound business development infrastructure, including investor targeting, outreach campaigns, tracking systems, and follow-up workflows.
  • Support capital raising initiatives by coordinating investor meetings, diligence requests, subscription materials, and onboarding processes.
  • Help strengthen the firm’s brand presence through content creation, market updates, conference coordination, and investor-facing communications.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and investor sentiment to help inform messaging and business development efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally with acquisitions, asset management, and finance teams to gather investment updates and performance data for investor communications.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, fundraising support, private wealth servicing, or investment marketing within real estate private equity, private credit, or alternative investments.
  • Multifamily real estate experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience managing investor communications, CRM systems, reporting processes, and marketing materials.
  • Proven ability to improve workflows, establish systems, and create scalable investor relations infrastructure.
  • Exposure to capital raising or business development processes preferred, though porting over an existing network of investor relationships isnot required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and presentation quality.
  • Commercially minded, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, investor reporting tools, and marketing automation systems preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance, real estate, marketing, communications, or business-related background preferred.
