Minimum Age Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age to apply
- At least 16 years of age.
- High School Diploma or currently in school.
- Work experience in a structured environment preferred.
Assist Senior Counselor in planning, organizing, and implementing group activities while promoting the mission of the camp.
RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS- He/She assists the Senior Counselor with the safety of all campers assigned to their group.
- He/She assists the Senior Counselor in the supervision of the campers assigned to their group.
- He/She assists the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in all activities scheduled daily to the group. Activities include but are not limited to arts and crafts, sports, table games, and rec room.
- He/She assists the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in all field trips assigned to the group by the camp.
- He/She assists the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in swimming lessons along with the pool staff.
- He/She assists the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in the end of camp show.
- He/She must model appropriate Christian behavior at all times.
- He/She will complete other duties assigned by the Senior Counselor, Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director(s).
The Junior Counselor reports directly to the Senior Counselor, Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director(s).
EVALUATIONThe Senior Counselor will evaluate the Junior Counselor weekly. The evaluation will be based on successfully completing the responsibilities listed above.
