Construction Manager

Overview

Construction Manager position at SERVPRO of Boynton Beach/South Miami in Miami, FL. Full Time.

• Oversee operations of all construction projects and ensure customer and client satisfaction
• Perform initial scope of projects, use Xactimate to create estimates and scope of work, create budgets, and buy-out subcontractors and vendors within established budgets
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters for scope and pricing approval
• Procure direct-pay contracts for customers and work authorizations for insurance-paid projects
• Obtain plans and building permits when necessary
• Manage subcontractors to ensure work is performed within budget, on schedule, and meets SERVPRO quality requirements
• Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, local codes, and scope of work requirements
• Maintain proper documentation for each project, including photos, contracts, change orders, selections, etc.
• Manage subcontractor/vendor billing, including deposits, draws, and material purchases
• Complete projects by obtaining required final inspections and customer satisfaction certificates
• Ensure project balances are collected and paid in full

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous construction management experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to meet production goals and maintain profitability
• Effective written and oral communication

• Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods (driving, sitting, climbing)
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
• Exposure to loud jobsite noise levels
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
