Project Manager – Bridge / Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale bridge and heavy civil construction projects in the Miami area
. This role will have direct responsibility for managing complex structural scopes including post-tensioning operations, precast concrete (PC) erection, and bridge launching activities
.

The Project Manager will oversee project execution from preconstruction through completion, coordinating with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and inspectors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements
.

This position is ideal for a PM with hands-on experience delivering complex bridge structures and managing multiple work fronts in an active construction environment.

• Manage all aspects of assigned bridge and structural scopes from project startup through closeout
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
• Oversee and coordinate post-tensioning operations
  , including sequencing, subcontractor management, and inspection coordination
• Manage precast concrete (PC) fabrication and erection activities
  , including logistics, crane operations, and erection sequencing
• Support and coordinate bridge launching operations
  , including temporary works, means and methods, and specialty subcontractors
• Partner closely with the Structures Superintendent to align field execution with schedule and budget
• Administer contracts and subcontracts, including scope definition, change management, and pay applications
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and document control
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, and inspectors (DOT / FDOT where applicable)
• Monitor project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
• Track productivity, quantities, and earned value against the project plan
• Ensure compliance with project safety plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Support procurement of materials, equipment, and specialty services

• 7+ years of experience in heavy civil or bridge construction
  , with project management responsibility
• Proven experience managing projects involving:
• Bridge structures
• Bridge erection and/or launching operations
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and structural details
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and work phases
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with construction management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar)

• Experience on large DOT or FDOT bridge projects
• Background on design-build or alternative delivery projects
• Experience managing self-perform structural work
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Familiarity with temporary works, falsework, and erection engineering
