Roofing Estimator at MGC Roofing, Miami.
Estimator is responsible for relationships with suppliers, equipment vendors, and sub-contractors. Creates and oversees cost monitoring processes on the project. Solicits and maintains communications with sub-contractors, suppliers, and vendors. Thorough understanding of the scope of the project and considers all related components of cost, time and management services to develop a bid package.
Primary FunctionsAnalyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates to prepare bids used by management to solicit work and for additional purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Essential TasksTransmits quotes, bid documentation, and responses to management and subcontractors. Analyzes job plans and specifications to determine how much a project would cost, how long it would take to complete and how much revenue the project should generate. Considers factors such as labor, materials, equipment & equipment rentals, facility costs, fixed and variable company costs, any required permits, and/or licenses as well as financial and regulatory guidelines.
TypicalDuties & Requirements
- Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with a strong attention to detail.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- Ability to work with others.
- Perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines.
- Maintain professional interaction with all customers.
- Physical endurance and capability.
- Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures.
- Minimum 1 year commercial / residential roof experience.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Speak English & Spanish (Preferred).
- Must be able to pass drug screening test.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Salary is based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
