Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. • Drives a truck equipped with dump body to transport rock, asphalt or other materials to various parts of the jobsite.
• Follows project instructions from the construction manager or supervisor.
• Follows all safety protocols when operating a variety of tools and heavy equipment to complete daily tasks.
• Performs daily truck equipment inspections and communicates any maintenance or necessary repairs to supervisor.
• Keeps the worksite clean and organized; performs cleanup when the project is complete.
• Performs job tasks in an outdoor setting which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and asphalt.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds.
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
• Out-of-town travel and/or overtime is a possibility.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• English and Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
