Position SummaryThe candidate will work on tasks that are related to project cost estimation, preparing a complete and comprehensive Bid Package for review by the Senior Estimator prior to any Project date line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Properly develop RFI’s; communicate properly orally and written
- Performing Quantity Take Offs
- Calculate detailed quantities in material, labor and equipment costs
- Elaborate detailed estimates breakdown in material, labor, equipment and indirect costs associated with the construction task
- Maintain Subcontractor bid list
- Communication with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain prices
- Collecting and organizing data for use in bid proposals
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Candidate must have 3 years of experience performing the duties described above
- Proficient Excel, MS Word, Onscreen takeoff or similar, Bluebeam or similar
