We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead and manage health, safety, and environmental programs across active construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, commercial and industrial industry experience, a proactive approach to hazard prevention and risk management and live in the Orlando or Tampa area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain company and site‑specific safety programs and procedures.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor high‑risk construction and industrial activities.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training documentation, and compliance logs.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to support safe work practices.
- Track and report safety performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety inspections, audits, and regulatory agencies.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction and industrial safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and safety regulations.
- OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification required; CHST or CSP certification preferred.
- Experience conducting safety training, audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both in office settings and active construction environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
