  • Develop new business and client relationships; pursue opportunities in restaurant and retail, hotel sectors and other commercial markets.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and safety programs are met or exceeded.
  • Coach, mentor, and grow project managers, superintendents, and support staff; recruit and retain top talent.
  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, and vendor agreements in coordination with legal and procurement teams.
  • Implement and enforce safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance policies (including local codes and permitting).
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, procurement, field operations, finance) to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Represent the company with clients, architects, landlords, and public agencies; communicate project status and financial results to senior leadership.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including leadership or director-level responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing restaurant and retail projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven estimating experience and familiarity with cost modeling, takeoffs, and bid management.
  • Track record in business development, client relationship management, and winning commercial work.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
  • Deep knowledge of construction methods, contract types, building codes, permitting, and safety programs (OSHA).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Viewpoint, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CCM, or OSHA 30 are a plus; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
