Senior Estimator
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to support preconstruction efforts and deliver accurate, competitive pricing across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This role will play a critical part in securing new work by developing detailed estimates, analyzing project risks, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual through final design phases
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop complete and accurate bids
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams during preconstruction
- Assist in developing budgets, scopes, and schedules
- Support bid reviews, presentations, and client interviews
- Evaluate project risks, constructability issues, and logistics challenges
- Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and labor trends
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of construction estimating experience
- Proven experience estimating commercial, healthcare, industrial, or multifamily projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
