Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to support preconstruction efforts and deliver accurate, competitive pricing across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This role will play a critical part in securing new work by developing detailed estimates, analyzing project risks, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual through final design phases
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop complete and accurate bids
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams during preconstruction
  • Assist in developing budgets, scopes, and schedules
  • Support bid reviews, presentations, and client interviews
  • Evaluate project risks, constructability issues, and logistics challenges
  • Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and labor trends

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of construction estimating experience
  • Proven experience estimating commercial, healthcare, industrial, or multifamily projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software (Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
