Assistant Preconstruction Manager

A nationally recognized General Contractor with a strong presence across Florida is actively building out its South Florida operations
. As part of a strategic expansion into the Fort Lauderdale market, they are seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to join a growing team that will support public-sector and institutional projects across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

This role is ideal for someone early in their estimating career who wants to grow within a structured preconstruction environment. You’ll gain direct exposure to large-scale public bids and mentorship from experienced preconstruction professionals while contributing to meaningful civic and institutional developments.

• Assist in the preparation of detailed quantity takeoffs and estimates during all phases of design
• Support Preconstruction Managers in scope development, subcontractor outreach, and bid comparisons
• Maintain and organize bid documents, drawings, and specifications
• Help track project budgets, timelines, and milestones
• Participate in internal team meetings and external client or subcontractor discussions as needed
• Provide administrative and technical support throughout the bidding process

• 1–4 years of experience in a preconstruction, estimating, or project engineering role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized under deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Interest in the public sector and institutional construction market
• Experience or familiarity with the South Florida region is preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is desirable
