Position SummaryWe are seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial, government, institutional, and laboratory projects. This is a field leadership role for a professional who runs their site with discipline, holds subcontractors accountable, and drives work forward without compromising safety or quality. You will be the on-site owner of schedule, coordination, and field execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage day-to-day field operations on complex, often occupied, project sites.
- Own the project schedule – sequence work, track progress, and keep the job moving to meet milestones.
- Hold subcontractors accountable to scope, quality, and schedule through the general contractor structure.
- Enforce all safety standards and maintain a clean, compliant, and organized job site at all times.
- Coordinate MEP‑intensive scopes and manage the logistics of phased and occupied‑space renovations.
- Document field conditions, progress, and issues thoroughly and communicate early – no surprises.
- Coordinate inspections, manage permit and code compliance in the field, and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate closely with project management on budget, change orders, and risk mitigation.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, government, institutional, or laboratory projects.
- Demonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and on budget.
- Strong ability to lead subcontractors and enforce the general contractor structure on site.
- Working knowledge of MEP coordination, renovation logistics, and occupied‑space construction.
- Comfort managing risk, documentation, existing‑condition challenges, and code compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive and clear under pressure.
- Proficiency with construction management technology (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement.
