Verdex Construction is looking for an MEP Superintendent to join our Operations team to be part of our mission of Building Something Better .
The MEP Superintendent supports the Project Manager and/or General Superintendent to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field regarding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The MEP Superintendent is responsible for directly managing a project’s MEP construction activities to meet specifications within budgeted cost by the scheduled completion date. The MEP Superintendent may be the lead superintendent on small projects or be responsible for a specific area of a larger project.
EssentialFunctions
- Lead design professionals and subcontractors in the development of coordinated MEPS documents necessary to graphically represent (Mechanical, Electrical, Elevators, Plumbing and Sprinkler) MEP installation.
- Coordinate and manage general conditions of work and project logistics.
- Collaborate with public utility suppliers to obtain final service connections in compliance with determined project schedule delivery date and system startups.
- Complete the technical review and approval of all MEP submittals.
- Manage MEP project closeout, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Achieve all required MEP jurisdictional inspections.
- Resolve all clash detections identified by the development of the coordination documents.
- Oversee process for state elevator inspections.
- Enforce high safety standards for MEP activities on job site.
- Inspect the quality of work for compliance with design standard and ensure corrective action occurs if/when necessary.

Requirements Requirements & Qualifications- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore.
- Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
- Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan.
- Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude.
- Must have experience supervising a project team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Equivalent Experience.
- 5+ years working with MEP trade Coordination.
