Role Description
We’re searching for an experienced designer to take the design helm of our art department, guiding a talented team of creative agencies who are known for exceptional creativity. The ideal person will bring a mix of artistic, marketing, and business expertise to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients.
The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that connect with any retail audience.
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Graphic Designer role located in Miami, FL. The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs across various mediums, including graphics, branding materials, logos, and typography. Daily tasks include collaborating with the marketing and creative teams, maintaining brand consistency, and delivering high-quality visual content aligned with organizational goals. This role demands creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Design Excellence:Oversee the creation of assets across multiple channels. Ensure that the final output meets the highest standards of design quality, aesthetics, and consistency.
- Conceptualization:Collaborate with marketing and e-comm teams to develop creative ideas that effectively communicate the desired message, evoke emotions, and resonate with the target audience. Conceptualize overall campaign vision, harnessing original graphics, copy, website content, email, direct mail, visual merchandising, OOH and TV.
- Hands on Design:Develop campaign lockups that will help dictate tone and visual direction of the supporting creative to designers. Assist in high-level design projects including but not limited to direct mail, iconography and logos, evergreen and seasonal in-store signage.
- Visual Strategy:Develop and execute compelling visual strategies that align with project goals and brand identity. Translate complex concepts into visually appealing and easy-to-understand designs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with merchant and marketing teams, vendors, legal and agencies to understand project objectives, target audience, and messaging. Collaborate effectively to incorporate feedback and iterate on designs.
- Project & File Management:Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring that creative deliverables are produced on time and within scope. Ensure folders and files are organized and naming conventions are adhered to.
- Trends and Innovation:Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design techniques, and innovative technologies. Incorporate these insights into creative strategies to keep the company at the forefront of creativity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a hands-on designer and Art Director or in a similar leadership role within the creative industry. Agency experience a plus. Retail industry experience a plus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects, highlighting your exceptional design skills, conceptual thinking, and ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD (for mocking up webpage layouts), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, branding and visual storytelling.
