Position Overview

The Part-Time Music Coach/Accompanist will serve as coach/accompanist in the Music, Theater and Dance Department. This individual must demonstrate an advanced level of performing and proficiency as a pianist and accompanist.

What you will be doing

* Accompanies private music lessons and/or classes

* Coaches and accompanies music students

* Participates in and accompanies student juries and recitals

* Accompanies rehearsals and performances

* Participates in and accompanies auditions

* Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

* Demonstrated experience as a professional musician and/or educational credential in accompanying, and/or at least two (2) years experience in accompanying in the area of interest

* Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff

* Must possess excellent organizational skills

* Experience coaching and accompanying advanced instrumental and vocal students, including in-depth knowledge of repertoire, historical and stylistic expertise

Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
