Job Description & How to Apply Below

Fuego is redefining dance footwear — creating sneakers built for dance, performance, and everyday life. Designed to move seamlessly from the studio to the street, our products fuse innovation, comfort, and style. Based in Miami, we’re a fast-growing global brand passionate about creativity, community, and motion.

About the Role

Fuego is looking for a freelance apparel and accessories designer with strong experience in streetwear and athleisure design to support the development of Fuego’s growing apparel category across both men’s and women’s products. This role will focus heavily on apparel design execution, accessory development, technical flats, and production-ready tech pack creation. Categories may include tops, bottoms, outerwear, matching sets, bags, and other lifestyle accessories.

The designer will work directly with Fuego’s Product Manager, who will oversee product strategy, concept direction, development coordination, and factory communications. Your primary responsibility will be translating creative direction into elevated product concepts and accurate technical documentation ready for production. This role is ideal for someone who understands modern streetwear trends, movement-inspired apparel, and commercially viable design across both men’s and women’s markets.

Responsibilities
  • Design original apparel and accessory concepts across streetwear and athleisure categories
  • Develop silhouettes, garment details, trims, graphics, washes, hardware, and colorways
  • Create detailed technical flats and production-ready tech packs
  • Prepare specification sheets including measurements, construction details, fabrics, stitching, labeling, hardware, and fit notes
  • Design across both men’s and women’s product categories
  • Support development of accessories
  • Revise and update tech packs based on product feedback and sample revisions
  • Ensure all designs align with Fuego’s brand identity and customer aesthetic
  • Organize and maintain clear design documentation and version control
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of apparel design experience, preferably in streetwear, athleisure, or contemporary fashion
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both apparel and accessory design work
  • Experience designing across men’s and women’s categories
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience creating detailed apparel tech packs and technical flats
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, and accessory development
  • Ability to interpret creative direction and execute efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a freelance environment
Why Fuego
  • Play a defining role in shaping the future of Fuego’s product line.
  • Collaborate with a creative, cross-functional team that celebrates innovation and motion.
