Culinary Production Manager

About the Manager, Culinary Production Position:

Agency 21 (a21) is seeking an organized, culinary-driven team player with a passion for food, hospitality, and live event execution to join our Culinary Production team. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can manage multiple projects whileowning the end-to-end culinary workstream across assigned festivals and live events — spanning chef curation, menu development, talent coordination, and onsite execution.

• Ownthe full culinary workstream for assigned festivals and events — from concept ideation, chef curation, and outreach through onsite execution and post-event reconciliation
• Research and compile food and beverage talent rosters,identifyingchefs and other culinary talent aligned with event themes and audience
• Develop andmaintaindetailed culinary timelines for each event, ensuring seamless coordination with the Event Producer, Event Lead(s), and cross-functional departments
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all culinary talent, managing communication frominitialoutreach through load-in, onsite execution, and load-out
• Create and distribute all culinary-facing communication materials including:
  
  Invites, Fact Sheets, Load-In Documents, Menus, and event briefing documents
• Build and manage all culinary tracking systems in , including Outreach, Confirmation Forms, Menu Forms, Station Breakdowns, Reimbursement Tracking, Run of Shows,COIForms,Travel Forms,and Event Timelines
• Lead menu development conversations with chef talent, aligning on dish concepts, dietary considerations,portionplanning, and equipment needs for each activation
• Plan and oversee seated tasting menus and multi-course experiences, coordinating timing, staffing, and service flow with culinary and events teams
• Coordinate pre-event productionlogisticsfor
  
  Event Producers and Event Lead(s) including:equipmentrental compilation, menu production, disposables ordering, andmore
• Manage onsite culinary operations including talent check-in, delivery coordination, station and equipment setup, signage placement, and real-time problem-solving
• Work closely with Event Producers onbudget tracking, invoicing, and post-event expense reconciliation
• Ensure all culinary activations meet food safety, health code, and venue compliance standards, coordinating with vendors and venue contacts as needed

• 3+ years coordinating meeting sand/or events
• 3+ years managing client/vendor relationships
• 3+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with exposure to culinary events or hospitality operations
• Experience with project management principles and tools; familiarity with ,Canvaor similar platforms preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for tracking, reporting, and communication
• Office administration and operations experience
• Culinary school training or hands-on culinary event experience is a plus
• Knowledge and passion for the independent food and beverage industry a plus
• Flexibility to travel throughout the year (up to 40% including some nights and weekends)
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to50lbsand remain on feet for extended periods during live event production
• Education:
  
  Associates Degree required,Bachelor’sdegree is a plus.
