Social Media / Content Creator Intern – Chifles
Miami, FL (On-Site Required) - Summer 2026
Chifles is the #1 plantain chip brand in America. Cuban family-owned, Miami-made, 60+ years running. We survived a factory fire, rebuilt, and never changed the recipe. Our product is in Publix, bodegas, and kitchens across the Southeast.
Here's the problem: we have a 60-year story that's never been told. No consistent social presence. No Tik Tok. No video strategy. No brand voice. Our Instagram has ~10K followers built on almost zero investment. The most compelling brand story in the snack industry is sitting there untold.
You're not inheriting a broken content strategy. You're building one from scratch. Most content creators would kill for material this rich. A Cuban family. A factory fire. A rebuild. 60 years in Miami. A product people love but can't pronounce. You have it all, you just need to put it on camera.
What You’ll Build:- “Miami Love Letters” — a signature video series celebrating the people, places, and culture of real Miami. This is the emotional core of the brand.
- “Still Here” — a short-form interview series with the founder, production team, and longtime employees. One person, one question, 60 seconds. Their hands. Their story.
- Pronunciation campaign content — the “Now You Know” series teaching Miami (and America) that it’s Chee-flays, not Chai-fulls
- Tik Tok launch — build the account from zero, establish the voice, test what resonates
- Factory and behind-the-scenes content — how it’s made, the people who make it
- Recipe and product content — plantain chips, pork crackling, pairings, unexpected combos
- Content library — minimum 100 pieces of original content that outlasts the internship
- Content playbook — the documented strategy someone else can follow after August
- Campaign content — social support for wildposting launch, in-store campaigns, and Platanito Fest
Duration: 12 weeks, June 1 – August 22, 2026
Hours:
40 hours/week
Compensation: $18/hour
Location:
Miami-based required — this role requires filming on location throughout the city
Reports to:
Justin Lee, Brand Manager
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, marketing, film, journalism, or related field
Strong portfolio or personal social media presence demonstrating video and content creation skills
Proficient in short-form video editing (Cap Cut, Premiere Rush, or similar)
You can shoot, edit, caption, and post independently — you don't wait for permission
Strong writing and copywriting instincts
Based in Miami — non-negotiable
- Bonus: knowledge of Miami neighborhoods, culture, and food scene
- Bonus: existing relationships with local creators or food community
Most internships hand you a content calendar and say “post this.” This one hands you a camera and says “tell this story.” You’ll build two signature content series, launch a Tik Tok from zero, create a pronunciation campaign that could go viral, and document a 60-year Cuban family legacy that’s never been captured on video. By August you’ll have a content library, a tested strategy, and a portfolio that shows you can build a brand voice from nothing, not just maintain someone else.
You’ll work directly with the Brand Manager and collaborate daily with an Art Director intern who’s building the visual identity system you’ll bring to life.
