Overview
Chifles is the #1 plantain chip brand in America. Cuban family-owned, Miami-made, 60+ years running. We survived a factory fire, rebuilt, and never changed the recipe. Our product is in Publix, bodegas, and kitchens across the Southeast.
Here's the problem: everybody knows our green bag. Nobody knows our name. We're fixing that this summer and we need a designer to help us build the brand from the ground up.
This isn't a "make us some social graphics" internship. You're building a visual identity system for a brand that's about to go from regional favorite to cultural institution. Wildposting campaigns. In-store displays. Event branding. Packaging direction. The whole thing.
Let your creativity fly, and leave your mark on a $50MM brand rewriting its story.
What You'll Support- Visual style guide — the master document that defines how Chifles looks everywhere
- Brand asset library — logos, icons, patterns, templates, all production-ready
- Wild Posting / wheatpasting campaign — vintage propaganda-style street posters for Miami
- "Now You Know" pronunciation campaign — in-store displays, posters, merch (it's Chee-flays, by the way)

- PDP redesign — Amazon and DTC product page overhaul

Hours: 40 hours/week Compensation: $18/hour
Location: Remote/hybrid — Miami-based preferred but not required
Reports to: Justin Lee, Brand Manager
Our Ideal CandidateCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in advertising, graphic design, or visual communication
Strong portfolio showing brand identity work — systems, not just one-off pieces
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign especially)
You understand typography and know why font pairing matters
You build systems that other people can use without asking you questions
Why This MattersMost internships give you busywork. This one gives you a brand. By August you'll have built a visual identity system, campaign assets, and a portfolio piece that most junior designers don't get until years into their career. You'll work directly with the Brand Manager, collaborate daily with a content creator intern, and see your work go from concept to Miami streets.
