  • Plan and lead engaging lessons, warm-ups, technique exercises, choreography, and creative movement activities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, and artistic growth.
  • Support students in developing coordination, teamwork, discipline, stage presence, and self-expression through movement.
  • Prepare students for showcases, performances, and special events through rehearsals and performance coaching.
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching artists and program leadership to deliver high-quality arts programming.
  • Participate in performances, family events, and other program activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching dance, choreography, or performing arts programs for children or youth.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, creative movement, and/or musical theater.
  • Experience working in schools, after school programs, studios, camps, or community-based youth programs.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for youth development, arts education, and helping students build confidence through creative expression.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to support performances, showcases, and special events.

Schedule:

  • Part-Time After school Position
  • Weekdays approximately 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Additional hours may be available for rehearsals, showcases, performances, meetings, and special events.
