Digital Photographer Volunteer/Intern for 100 Women in S.T.E.M. Program
Please note that this is an unpaid internship. The internship spans approximately three months, requiring a commitment of 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be located in or willing to travel to the Chicago Loop area.
Responsibilities- Work with the studio team and stylists to capture digital product stills for Felix Magazine.
- Ensure that all products are lit correctly, efficiently and creatively, following Luxe Media guidelines.
- Produce high‑quality, consistent images that are properly exposed and colour‑balanced.
- Accurately archive images for easy access by other Luxe Media departments.
- Prepare sets, verify that all equipment is operational, set up lighting, and maintain accurate daily shoot records.
- Meet daily and weekly deadlines to support new website material.
- Maintain care and upkeep of all studio equipment, props, and supplies.
- Retouch, crop, and upload images as needed.
- Organize and name digital assets and maintain file structure.
- Perform quality assurance on all images.
- Full or part‑time student working toward a degree.
- Eligible to receive school credit and able to commit 2–3 days per week for the duration of the internship.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously.
- Capable of effectively presenting information to top management, public groups, and other stakeholders.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks.
- Previous experience in a studio environment.
- Proven experience with digital cameras and lighting.
- High technical proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, and networked computers.
- Strong understanding of colour correction and image constraints.
- Strong teamwork skills, detail‑oriented, and creative.
- Integrity, honesty, openness, and a willingness to operate as a team player.
- A passion for women’s economic opportunities.
