Digital Lead - International Multimedia Journalist IV

Primary responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate digital broadcasting operations across multiple platforms to ensure timely, accurate, and uninterrupted content delivery.

Monitor live and recorded digital broadcasts, troubleshooting technical issues and escalating problems as needed to maintain service quality.

Lead and support broadcasting staff, assigning workloads, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to operational procedures and standards.

Manage digital content scheduling, publication, and distribution to maximize audience engagement and platform performance.

Collaborate with production, communications, and technical teams to implement broadcast plans and special event coverage.

Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or TV programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned.

Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned.

As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories.

Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static and motion graphics, as assigned.

Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed.

Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines.

Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements.

Works independently or as a member of a team.

Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned.

Knowledge of Cuba's history and familiarity with U.S./Cuba relations.

Other related duties as assigned.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (Alhurra TV and Radio Sawa), and Radio Free Asia.
