YOH PRODUCER

Role Description The YOH Producer is a full-time, on-site role based in Miramar, FL, responsible for planning, producing, and coordinating daily news and/or program segments. This role includes developing story ideas, writing scripts, organizing rundowns, and collaborating closely with reporters, anchors, editors, and control room staff to ensure high-quality, timely broadcasts. The YOH Producer will manage deadlines, monitor breaking news, make editorial decisions, and adjust content and rundowns in real time as stories develop.

The role also involves reviewing visual elements, verifying facts, ensuring compliance with journalistic standards, and supporting live production before, during, and after broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Strong news judgment, editorial decision-making, and familiarity with local, national, and international current events.
• Proficiency in script writing for television, segment planning, and rundown management in a newsroom or broadcast environment.
• Experience coordinating with reporters, anchors, editors, and control room teams to produce live and recorded segments.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt quickly to breaking news situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  Spanish-language proficiency strongly preferred.
• Comfort with newsroom and production software, social media platforms, and basic digital content workflows.
• Strong attention to detail, fact-checking skills, and commitment to ethical and accurate journalism.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for live news coverage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience in television news or media production in a major or mid-size market is highly beneficial.
