Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for an Audio 1 Operator to join our team!
Responsible for proficiency in mixing high quality audio for live or live to tape television programming.
YOUR DAY-DAY:(aka Responsibilities)
- Operationalknowledge of Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipmentincludingpatch bays androuters
- Setting up, checking and ensuring that all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels andequalization
- IFB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and Cleanfeed
- Design and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipment
- Coordination of all RF/Wireless equipment (i.e.microphones, IFB and PL) aswell as studio foldbackwith
Audio Assistant(A-2) or Floor Manager - Provideimmediatesolutionsin the event ofequipmentor other audioproblems
(aka Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
- 3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility
- 4+ years ofaudioexperiencein a livetelevisionenvironment
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology
- Studio and Remote production experience
- Abilitytomulti-task and react quickly during dailybroadcasts
- As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being ableto work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to workdays, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time toprovide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropicalstorm/hurricane.
