Summary / ObjectiveProvide various services such as wheelchair, security and porter services. Exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ensure the safety of property and people.
Essential Functions- Checkpoint – greet passengers as they line up, check each passenger’s boarding pass to confirm the correct city, priority class and flight time, ensure the correct gate, verify baggage quantity, and confirm any airport employee has a valid .
- Bagroom – ensure all bags coming from the belt have a valid sticker, remove the sticker, place it on the control sheet, and confirm all bags are accounted for.
- Assigned gate – enter the secure area of the jet bridge with employee , stand by the airplane doors, watch both doors to prevent entry without a valid airport , scan cleaners with the security wand, and fill out a form detailing cleaner count, arrival time, and pushback time.
- Ramp – receive the baggage cart from the bagroom, count each bag as it is placed onto the airplane, ensure no questionable items are loaded, and prevent non‑ramp workers from crossing the airplane perimeter.
- Porter – stand behind the airline counter awaiting baggage; aid passenger service agents or airline employees in weighing bags, adding a bag tag, and placing bags onto the baggage belt, ensuring no bags are left behind at the counter.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and a post‑offer/pre‑employment drug/alcohol test.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English and/or Spanish.
- Maintain a professional relationship with both employees and clients.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public; use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Read and understand all operating and airport procedures and instructions.
- Handle pressure of working with a high volume of general public, from constantly to occasionally, depending on assignment.
Must be eligible for CBP seal and pass the criminal background check to obtain the airport .
Physical DemandsThis position requires standing or walking constantly for the entire shift on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet), bending or twisting at waist, knees, or neck, pulling or pushing objects, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 70 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time or part‑time position. Days and hours vary from Monday through Sunday, with different shifts, providing services 24/7.
TravelNo travel is expected for this position.
