Job Overview

As a Front Desk / Receiving Associate, you’ll work independently without direct supervision. You should possess strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills, be detail‑oriented and able to multitask. You’ll meet and greet residents, check guests and service providers in and out, respond to emergency and access‑control procedures, operate electronic security control systems, and accurately maintain daily logs, records and forms.

Responsibilities
  • Work front desk and operations.
  • Maintain the front desk and receiving area office, ensuring it is never left unattended or unlocked.
  • Ensure the receiving area is not blocked and keep it well organized.
  • Schedule freight elevator for residents moving in and out in accordance with Association Policy.
  • Register all deliveries and packages (Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, registered mail).
  • Report all problems to the supervisor, including those outside the scope of responsibility.
  • Issue parking passes to approved vehicles.
  • Register and distribute s to contractors.
  • Monitor the activity of service contractors and maintenance contractors through logs.
  • Complete required reports and requisitions for materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed and maintain a safe work area.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of front‑desk experience, preferably in a residential building.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm panels and basic knowledge of shutting off water to the fire system and individual units.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Professional and firm enforcement of building policies.
  • Limited cellphone use while assigned to front desk.
  • Computer literacy: prepare incident reports using a web browser or Microsoft Word; basic Excel skills.
  • Dependable and flexible; able to remain on duty if relief is delayed.
  • Dress code: all black until uniforms are purchased.
  • Ability to stand each time a person comes to the desk.
  • College‑level coursework in business or hospitality preferred.
  • Two to three years of business experience preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30‑50 lbs.
  • Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods.
  • Handle, grasp and lift objects and packages.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information verbally and in writing.
  • Navigate the property/building quickly and easily to meet job functions.
  • Complete required forms.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Schedule

Front Desk – Monday & Tuesday 11:00 PM‑7:00 AM;
Receiving Office – Saturday & Sunday 11:00 AM‑8:00 PM.

Compensation

$18.50 per hour.
