Job Overview
As a Part Time Front Desk Associate, you’ll work independently and without direct supervision, possessing strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. You must be detail‑oriented, able to multitask, meet and greet residents, check guests and service providers in/out, understand emergency response and access control procedures, monitor electronic security control systems, and accurately maintain daily logs, records and forms.
Responsibilities- Work front desk and operations, with minimum one year of front desk experience, preferably in a residential building.
- Familiarity with fire alarm panels.
- Basic knowledge of shutting off water to the fire system.
- Basic understanding of shutting off water to individual units.
- Ability to remain professional and firm when enforcing building policies.
- Limited cellphone use while assigned to the front desk.
- Computer literacy, including preparing incident reports using a web browser or Microsoft Word.
- Basic Excel knowledge, such as opening files and searching for information.
- Dependable and flexible, able to remain on duty if relief is delayed until a replacement arrives.
- Dress code is all black until uniforms are purchased by the building.
- Stand each time a person comes to the desk.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- College‑level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
- Two to three years of business experience preferred.
- Computer literacy: command of information system hardware/software preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
- Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by spoken and written word.
- Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to perform job functions.
- Complete all required forms.
- Work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Thursday and Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM.
Compensation$19.50 per hour.
