Adjunct Faculty I, Dental Hygiene

The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settings.

• Prepare a course schedule
• Evaluate and advise students
• Prepare exams
• Prepare syllabus
• Monitor class roster
• Maintain a schedule that allows for student meetings
• Schedule laboratory sessions for the skills component of the course
• Teach in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environments
• Disseminate information and recruit students for service‑learning initiatives
• Assess student performance in the clinical setting
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Master’s degree in any field and Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, plus a valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene license and at least 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, plus a valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene license and at least 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience; or Bachelor’s degree in any field and Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA‑accredited program, plus a valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene license and at least 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience.
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic/multi‑cultural environment.
