Position Summary
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a General Dentist to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, rotation cycle. The team will be based in a secure, purpose‑built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility.
All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services. Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre‑Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
- Deliver dental services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti.
- Operate in a deployed, rotational contract (ideally a 3 months on, 1 month off cycle) within a secure, purpose‑built camp and hospital facility.
- Conduct all clinic service delivery services in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
- US citizenship or Green Card holder. Sponsorship not available.
- Education:
Completed dental school approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dental and Auxiliary Educational Programs of the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada of the Canadian Dental Association with either a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. - Successful completion of an approved residency program in general practice or specialty, or comparable experience treating medically compromised patients.
- Board-eligible or Board Certified with the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD).
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a US state, territory, or District of Columbia.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience post‑qualification, including general dentistry, orofacial pain, emergency and non‑emergency dental procedures, dental implants, and a strong surgical skill set.
- Current valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French highly desired; a secondary language preferred.
- 1099 contractor, fixed daily rate while on rotation; no pay while off rotation.
