JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Junior Interior Designer is a full-time role supporting the design team across all phases of high-end interior design projects. This position works closely with Lead Designers and Project Managers to help bring concepts to life from early design development through documentation, procurement, and installation. The role is ideal for a motivated designer eager to gain hands‑on experience, strengthen technical and creative skills, and grow within a design‑driven firm.
THEIDEAL CANDIDATE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years’ experience in the Residential and Commercial Interior Design sector, besides internships.
- Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Photoshop & SKETCH-UP!
- Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact.
- Excellent graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
- Knowledge and experience in construction documents development.
- Organized and very detailed oriented.
- Rendering abilities (either hand or computer).
- Has reliable transportation.
- Easy going and with an open attitude.
- Curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to work within a team are essential.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Persistent, proactive, and resourceful: VERY IMPORTANT.
- A professional attitude is necessary.
- Collaborate with Lead Designer in all phases of interior design projects (includes conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, vendor follow ups, pricing requests, etc.).
- Responsible for curating furniture, lighting and accessory selections.
- Jobsite visits, site surveys, and installer supervision. Great at following up.
- Materialize concepts/ideas into shop drawings and meet with trades for feasibility.
- Responsible for Vendor relations and communications, understanding construction material specifications and negotiation.
- Follow up consistently to ensure alignment with design intent and project schedules.
- Furniture set-ups.
- Specification books.
