OverviewRho Nutrition is seeking a Director of Design to lead the visual expression of the brand across every customer touchpoint. This leader will own the creative direction and execution of design across growth marketing, organic content, email, retail, packaging, web, and campaign launches
, ensuring a consistent, premium, science-driven brand identity.
This role blends creative leadership, brand stewardship, and performance design
. The Director of Design will manage a small but high-impact team of designers while partnering closely with Growth, E-commerce, Partnerships, and Product teams.
This person should be equally comfortable defining creative direction and executing quickly in a high-growth environment
.
- Own and evolve Rho Nutrition’s visual identity across all channels
- Maintain brand consistency across DTC, retail, Amazon, partnerships, and campaigns
- Translate Rho’s positioning (clinical, minimalist luxury, science-forward) into scalable design systems
- Establish and maintain design standards, templates, and brand guidelines
- Lead design execution for growth & marketing design: paid media creative, organic social content, email marketing, landing pages, product launches
- Partner with Growth team to improve creative performance through iteration and testing
- Build scalable creative systems that support high-velocity marketing
- Lead retail design initiatives including in-store displays, retail education materials, packaging updates and expansions, and ensuring shelf presence reflects premium clinical positioning
- Oversee visual design direction for website, product detail pages, conversion assets; partner with E-commerce leadership on UX/UI improvements
- Manage and mentor a small team of designers (2–3), prioritize design workload across brand, growth, and product needs, build efficient creative workflows and feedback systems, and identify when to leverage freelancers or agencies
Required
- 7+ years in brand or marketing design roles
- 3+ years managing designers or creative teams
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems and marketing creative
- Experience designing for DTC brands
- Deep understanding of performance marketing creative
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred
- Experience in wellness, supplements, beauty, or performance brands
- Retail packaging and in-store design experience
- Motion design familiarity
- UX/UI experience
- Experience supporting Amazon creative
- Brand consistency across all channels
