Sr. Project Manager/Architect
GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Architect with experience developing and maintaining business relationships while creating strategies for new and existing clients within the AEC industry to join our Architectural Studio in Miami, FL. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our office.
What You Will DoAs a Sr. Project Manager/Architect, you will be a motivated leader helping to start and drive an architectural presence in Miami, with a focus on the Transportation, Aviation or Transit Markets.
You Will Be Responsible For The Following- Be a client facing representative for GFT Architecture with a focus on Transportation, Aviation and Transit.
- Assist local/national market leaders to GFT gain a larger market share in Florida.
- Assist and/or lead in project pre‑positioning, lead proposals and presentations to key clients.
- Periodic travel throughout the Florida region for opportunities, client meetings, etc.
- Maintain a positive attitude and build and maintain our client’s trust.
- Work toward developing an architectural presence and reputation in the Florida region and drive staff and studio growth.
- Leading through example by driving high-quality production of construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, estimates, and constructability assessments.
- Research and become familiar with client requirements including preferences, programs, guidelines, and standards.
- Generate project scopes, schedules, and budgets and be responsible for achieving and/or exceeding our delivery performance.
- Lead projects and diverse project teams to serve clients with the aim of deepening our relationships and growing our market presence in the region.
- Lead the development of design concepts and presentations that clearly express the project goals and concepts to our clients and key stakeholders, including government and public entities.
- Ensure that project quality requirements are followed, production reviews are effective, and constructability reviews are completed.
- Perform and lead teams in comprehensive code, life‑safety, egress, and product and material research.
- Lead projects and teams from start and concepts to finish and project turnover after construction.
- Lead production teams in the development of technical details including coordination with engineering disciplines, partnering designers, and subconsultants.
- Coordinate work of all disciplines and coordinate production of drawings and technical specifications.
- Supervise and lead staff during the permitting, bid phase, review of shop drawings and construction RFIs.
- Help guide and mentor entry level and emerging architectural staff.
- Organized individual with a positive team-building spirit.
- 15+ years’ experience working in the field of architecture.
- Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree.
- Experience with Transportation, Aviation and Transit project types and requirements.
- Experience with leading projects, project pursuits and client management.
- Existing relationships with clients in the target markets.
- Licensed architect in Florida.
- Experience with software such as Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Blue Beam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
- Effective writer, communicator, detail‑oriented designer.
- Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects and across multiple offices.
- In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related codes and standards.
- Licensed/Registered Architect in Florida.
- 10+ years’ experience in Architectural Project Management.
- The range for this position is salary range is $160,000- $180,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
