About the Role
Fontainebleau Development is seeking a talented and driven Senior Design Associate to join our in-house development department. This role is ideal for an emerging professional with a strong interior design sensibility and the ability to take ownership of projects from concept through construction.
Working closely with the Design and Development leaders, this individual will contribute across a range of high-end development projects — including Food & Beverage and amenity environments — supporting design execution, documentation, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of architectural and interior design concepts, focusing on FF&E, finish selections, and Point of Purchase (POP) environments.
- Produce high-quality drawings, digital 3D models, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and coordination across internal and external teams.
- Support construction administration, including site visits, submittal reviews, and coordination with contractors.
- Collaborate with consultants, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure design intent is maintained throughout FF&E procurement and installation.
- Lead material selection, FF&E specifications, and custom detailing across residential, F&B, and amenity spaces.
- Drive POP design and branded environment development in coordination with project and marketing teams.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and project partners.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in an interior design or architectural office, with demonstrated exposure to FF&E, F&B, or hospitality projects strongly preferred.
- Professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Strong design skills with a solid portfolio demonstrating both conceptual and technical abilities; work featuring FF&E specifications, POP design, or F&B environments is a plus.
- Experience with project management and coordination.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, Rhino, Bluebeam, additional tools a plus).
- Working knowledge of construction documentation and administration processes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
