BIM Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead and enhance the BIM function across both preconstruction and field operations. This role is responsible for establishing model-based standards, driving coordination across disciplines, and ensuring design intent is fully translated into coordinated, buildable construction across complex vertical projects including multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, condo, commercial, and student housing developments.
This is a key leadership position focused on improving coordination efficiency, reducing rework, and strengthening both preconstruction accuracy and field execution.
What You Will Do:
- Lead BIM execution strategy from preconstruction through project closeout, including model setup, coordination workflows, and deliverable planning
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, including naming conventions, file structures, modeling protocols, and scalable workflows across projects
- Manage federated models to identify clashes, constructability issues, sequencing risks, and opportunities for prefabrication early in the process
- Lead coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, project managers, and superintendents, ensuring timely resolution of model issues
- Support operations and estimating teams through model-based insights such as quantity validation, logistics planning, sleeve/blockout coordination, and constructability reviews
What We're Looking For:
- Strong background in BIM, VDC, or model-based coordination on vertical construction projects
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (or BIM 360)
- Proven ability to evaluate drawings and shop models from a builder's perspective, not just a design coordination standpoint
- Experience leading coordination meetings and driving actionable resolution of clashes across trades and disciplines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across field teams, office staff, design consultants, and ownership groups
What We're Looking For in Candidates:
- Demonstrated experience actively driving coordination outcomes (not just managing models or files)
- Strong exposure to high-rise, podium, multifamily, or mixed-use construction environments
- Ability to operate credibly with both field leadership (superintendents) and preconstruction teams
This is a strategic leadership role that plays a critical part in reducing rework, improving coordination efficiency, and enhancing both project pursuit accuracy and field execution performance across the organization.
