Job Description

Project Architect / Technical Designer

Miami, FL | Hospitality & Destination Projects

We’re recruiting a Project Architect / Technical Designer to join a leading international architecture studio working on high-end hospitality and destination projects. You’ll be the bridge between concept and delivery, turning design intent into fully coordinated, buildable solutions that meet code, perform well, and look great.

The Role
  • Lead or support projects from concept through tender and construction documentation, acting as a key coordination point between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Translate conceptual designs into clear, buildable technical solutions and comprehensive drawing packages that meet codes, accessibility, fire, and zoning requirements.
  • Produce and manage highly accurate Revit models and drawing sets, ensuring consistency of graphics, annotations, and coordination across all disciplines.
  • Assemble and manage permit and AHJ submission packages, including zoning and code research, and track milestones, submissions, and approvals.
  • Review junior team drawings, implement QA/QC processes, and support construction with RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and change orders while safeguarding design intent.
About You
  • 9–11 years’ experience in architectural practice, with strong technical coordination and delivery background.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture; licensed/registered (AIA, RIBA, ARB or equivalent).
  • Hospitality/destination experience with solid understanding of FOH/BOH planning and brand standards.
  • Strong Revit and BIM skills, plus AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-obsessed, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects while mentoring junior team members.

To apply, send your CV and portfolio (hospitality-heavy work ideal), and Portico Recruitment will be in touch for a confidential discussion about the studio and projects.
