How will you contribute to the team?- Support design teams working on various project types such as commercial, rail, transit, aviation, etc., through all stages of design.
- Seek advice of peers and supervisors to enhance current abilities and make timely design and technical decisions collaboratively.
- Present yourself professionally to clients and maintain a seller‑doer approach.
- Enhance programming, planning and conceptual design activities.
- Develop designs and sketches into Revit‑based construction documents.
- Produce complete sets of construction documents in BIM.
- Follow redlined documents for production in Revit and develop the same redlined skill to hand‑off to junior staff.
- Coordinate with sub‑consultants and other disciplines and mentor junior staff.
- Provide technical information to a specification writer.
- Create organized exhibits in Blue Beam and PowerPoint for client and team review.
- Perform site and field work including site investigations, existing facility inventory and field‑measured documentation.
- Provide Project Architects/Project Managers with status reports of progress on architectural documents.
- Complete assignments efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner, and self‑perform quality control before publication or senior review.
- Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the budgeted hours for tasks.
- Maintain and coordinate project BIM models and develop strong knowledge of construction document standards and conventions.
- Develop a strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes.
- Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field.
- Develop a deeper understanding of building materials and construction methods.
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
- Work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
- Work independently or in a team environment as needed.
- Desire to analyze information and propose effective solutions on own initiative.
- Create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for career advancement.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Supervisor.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB‑accredited program.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant work experience covering all phases of architectural drafting, detailing and consultant coordination.
- Experience with Sketch Up and Lumion or another rendering software is preferred.
- Expertise in BIM/Revit and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
- In process of completing the Architect Registration Exam (ARE).
- LEED AP is a plus.
