Have times for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week!
MUST HAVES:
- 2-4 years of architecture experience
- Registered Architect in the State of Florida
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and supervising architectural plans, designs, specifications, drawings, layouts, elevations, renderings, cost estimates, and material specifications.
- Experience with commercial, municipal, public works, or similar building/structure projects.
- Strong knowledge of building practices, building ordinances, construction materials, structural engineering principles, and modern building construction/repair methods.
- Ability to coordinate with engineers, contractors, public officials, employees, and the general public.
- Ability to inspect construction in the field for conformity with plans/material specifications and inspect existing structures for improvements or alterations.
Plusses:
- General Contractor license
- Experience supervising junior architects, technical staff, clerical personnel, or consulting architectural firms.
- Experience with architectural/construction contracts, bid contract review, cost estimate review, and recommendations.
- Experience with CADD and related software.
- Public-sector, municipal, city building, fire/police station, park/recreation, or office building project experience.
Day to day:
The Architect will lead/review architectural design work for City buildings and structures, supervise or participate in preparing plans, layouts, drawings, elevations, renderings, cost estimates, working drawings, and specifications, coordinate with engineers on structural plans and design adjustments, review architectural/construction contracts and bid estimates, inspect construction in the field for compliance with plans/specs, assess existing structures for needed improvements, and supervise junior architects, technical staff, clerical staff, or consulting firms supporting City projects.
