The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") Facilities Operations & Planning Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Architect in Miami.
The Architect oversees and plans all architectural aspects of construction projects. Specifically, the Architect performs design computations, compiles data, and completes architectural assignments.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepares project estimates and architectural plans as assigned.
- Inspects structures in the field.
- Writes specifications, coordinates with material manufacturers, and inspects raw materials.
- Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques to use in the completion of projects.
- Formulates architectural reports and specifications.
- Reviews completed architectural plans and estimates.
- Approves final specifications and ordered materials.
- Provides overall guidance on project objectives and concepts.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required.
- Learning Agility:
Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. - Teamwork:
Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. - Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. - Communication:
Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
