Position: Instructor - Neurology (Headache)
** JOB DESCRIPTION
** Duties will include providing direct outpatient care services at the PAC Neurology Clinic and the CRB Pain Medicine Clinic, and inpatient services at the University of Miami Hospital for twelve months of the year.  During these months incumbent will participate in work rounds in the morning, provide clinical care and supervise the residents and provide consultations as needed in other areas of the hospital.  

The incumbent will be expected to come in for rounds on weekends as needed. As skills are developed during the year incumbent will lead rounds independently. Incumbent is expected to gain proficiency in headache management through mentored patient care in outpatient and inpatient services. An office-based outpatient infusion center provides an opportunity to gain expertise in acute care of refractory headache.

Mastery in performing nerve blocks and on a botulinum toxin A injections will be gained during procedure clinics. Incumbent may advance their understanding of interdisciplinary clinical aspects of headache during elective service time. . Incumbent will be expected to participate in conferences and teach medical students, residents, and rotating pain fellows. Fellows have the opportunity to gain translational research skills and participate in mentored re-search.
