Gastro Health is seeking an experienced Florida-licensed Pathologist to join our pathology team at a single laboratory location in Miami
. This GI-focused opportunity offers something increasingly difficult to find in traditional hospital practice:
no call, no hospital coverage, no nights or holidays, and significant flexibility in how you structure your workday.

With slides prepared in the morning and a consistent GI-focused caseload, you can concentrate on diagnostic pathology without the competing demands of a hospital-based practice.

• No call, nights, or holiday coverage
• Single laboratory location - no traveling between facilities
• Flexible workday based around completion of your caseload
• Schedule options of Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
• Predominantly GI-focused pathology
• Approximately 150 bottles/specimens per day
  , with some seasonal fluctuation
• Collaborative pathology and laboratory team
• Productivity-based compensation

The Pathologist will examine and interpret tissue biopsies prepared by laboratory personnel and provide accurate, timely diagnoses to support patient care. You'll work collaboratively with laboratory staff and fellow pathologists while maintaining an efficient workflow and appropriate quality standards.

Slides are prepared in the morning, providing considerable autonomy in determining when cases are reviewed and finalized throughout the day.

• Diagnosing daily specimens in accordance with College of American Pathologists turnaround-time standards
• Collaborating with fellow pathologists on internal quality assurance and intradepartmental consultation
• Maintaining an efficient workflow when reviewing and diagnosing biopsies

An active, unrestricted Florida medical license is required at the time of application. Candidates who do not currently hold an active Florida medical license cannot be considered for this opening.

• MD or DO degree
• American Board of Pathology Diplomate preferred
• Gastrointestinal pathology sign-out experience demonstrated through either:
• One year of GI pathology fellowship training,
  or
• Two to five years of general surgical pathology sign-out experience with meaningful GI pathology exposure
• Ability to efficiently manage a high-volume GI pathology workload
• Strong collaborative and diagnostic skills

The laboratory is located in Miami-Dade County
