The College Work-Study Program provides jobs for students with financial need. This program is a subsidized student employment program designed to assist students in financing their post-secondary education. Students can earn money according to the hours worked to help pay their educational expenses. Employment opportunities exist on campus and vary depending on the hiring department.
To be eligible forWork-Study, students must document financial need every year by completing the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). Work-studyis a need-based award and cannot be awarded to a student if the award combined with other resources would exceed the student's need. Students are awarded funds based on their financial need but are only paid for hours worked. Any unearned funds at the end of the program term are forfeited.
Students applying forwork-study positions are not guaranteed a position.
Work-study positions are based on department needs and the availability of funds. Work-stud yearnings are not paid in advance so they cannot be used to pay the direct costs (tuition, books, etc.) of the semester they are awarded.
