Position Overview
The Part-Time Camp Counselor assists with the oversight of the youth camp.
Works under detailed instruction and close supervision.
Temporary summer position.
What you will be doing
* Oversees an assigned group of campers in day to day activities
* Learns the material and activities provided in advance
* Takes initiative in all projects
* Follows directions and coordinates events as instructed; attends mandatory training as needed
* Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
* High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
* All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
* Possess special skills such as: interest in arts, crafts, computers, sports, science, environment, reading or math
* Ability to be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time under varied environmental conditions
* Ability to pass swim test, if required
* Knowledge and training in CPR and First Aid
* Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
* Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
